About Us
GMX Real Estate Group

GMX Real Estate Group, LLC founders and co-managing members, Andy Goodman and Kevin Mottlowitz have built GMX as a platform to capitalize on development and acquisition opportunities for proprietary and strategic partner accounts.

With nearly 25 years of combined experience, Messrs. Goodman and Mottlowitz have overseen a variety of retail development project types throughout the United States including community centers, entertainment centers, mixed use projects, neighborhood centers and regional power centers. Both principals have extensive experience in coordinating the overall development management process and specialize in site selection, land acquisitions and assemblages, joint venture relationships, site planning, conceptual building design, governmental approvals, due diligence, project financing and underwriting, broker and tenant relationships, lease and contract negotiations, coordination of tenant deliveries, and project budget and schedule requirements.

Prior to starting GMX, both principals gained experience at Chicago-based ORIX Real Estate Equities, where their combined project oversight encompassed 3.0 million square feet of approved and completed retail development projects estimated at more than $400 million in actual project costs.

While GMX places a major emphasis on the importance of relationship-building, the GMX core relationship between Messrs. Goodman and Mottlowitz began more than 20 years ago at the University of Illinois, where both gentlemen attended school and were college roommates.
